Ph.D. Jungwon Yeo

Jungwon Yeo, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of emergency and crisis management in the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. She received her Ph.D. in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Dr. Yeo’s research interests revolve around sustainable governance of emergency and crisis, migration, and border issues. Dr. Yeo has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and other research notes. She has a record of multiple internal and external research grants and awards. She has been invited nationally and internationally for 15 lectures/keynotes. At UCF, Dr. Yeo teaches graduate-level courses on emergency and crisis management, homeland security, and research methods. In 2018, Dr. Yeo visited KTU as an Erasmus Exchange Faculty and gave a week-long lecture on network/ collaborative governance to KTU’s graduate students. Currently, she is an executive board member of the American Society for Public Administration’s Section on Emergency and Crisis Management and Section on International Comparative Administration, and an Associate Editor of Natural Hazards Review, a flagship journal in emergency management.
