Professor Yagati Chinna Rao, is currently Chairperson, Centre for the Study of Discrimination and Exclusion, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University,New Delhi, India. His research interests and specialization includes: Dalit History and Politics; Discrimination and Exclusion; History of Education; Affirmative Action; and Human Rights. Earlier, he has been a Visiting Professor, Italian Institute of Oriental Studies, Sapienza University, Rome, Italy(2016); Visiting Professor, Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius, Lithuania (2013); Visiting Scholar, Institut d’Etudes Advancees de Nantes, France (2011- 2012); Visiting Professor, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Eligabeth, South Africa (2011); and Visiting Professor, Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany (2010).
